Whelp, I migured the Main menu should be where I start, so here's my first attempt at a GUI. I prefer grunge looks, but I know most users.. wont, so I tried to find a simplish style (Took the ideas from Survival Project mostly) with a darker, slightly gritty look to it. It's used for alot of things, Names, sprites if ou use 32x64, It's also used to make that 4 pixel raise in the sprite to give it depth. |

Umm.. I dunno. When I added the stroked text, I sued Elysium's tut because I couldn't find the one I used from Mirage on my original source. I set the BG color to blue, and entered text prior to running it (Like a label) The text stayed there, and no new text was added. So I must have molested a chat packet somewhere or something. My chat box is jsut blank, pure black, and I'm not sure why. I was doing things server side mostly, then a few client changes, and suddenly is expoded. Already registered, the two DLLs needed were already on my machine from the get go, fresh out of the box. when I tried adding them and discovered I already had them, I jsut replaced existing. I also tried setting the PC to 16 bit gfx, dunno why, I just read it somewhere and I've been desperate to make this work. On all the forums, PW, Elysium, Eclipse, etc. no vista user has gotten them to work yet, so ... |

At present, I'm unable to run any Mirage-Based Engines, or Mirage itself becasue whenever I try to run or compile, It tries to initialize DirectDraw, and causes me to get RTE 429. Set DD = DX.DirectDrawCreate("") I have all DLLs needed, I did alot of googling up till this point. I ... |

From what I've gathered, even though VB6 works on vista, not all the DLL files do.
There was a list of unsupported DLLS? On the microsoft Website, I can't recall the link though.
The biggest issue lately is RTE 429. |
