Isn't the server by default less than half a meg?

Unless you have a PC from the 1980's, a few controls shouldn't hurt server side, I'm pretty sure you can handle them.

Id' say so. I have Actors and NPCs, where Actors are individual 'human' mobs that cross maps, equip items, etc. etc.

then the NPCs jsut act as standard mobs.

One thing I did on my source was to blt the entire map, then blttoDC on a picturebox, and save as a bitmap, then load IT as the surface.

That way you jsut blt the whole map at once. The drawing probably isn't any faster, but I figured eliminating all the tile loops was a good idea.

Well, if his test version uses that code he posted a long time ago to autoregister the DLLs, then you moved them, the system is looking for DLLs that don't exist anymore, so register new ones. It's like if you register a DLL in a folder, then delete it, even though you have another copy, it's lookin...

If you don't want DLLs, go with Directsound/Music as GAIKEN suggested, or use WMP as Robin will probably say, since obviously the user has DLLs for both of those if they are playing your game.

Unless they're emulating windows, but chances are those users know how to register a DLL.

Simpler fix:

Don't map random blocks for no reason on the edges of maps where players will walk onto. I'd personally find it more annoying to be running against the edge of a map and not know why I can't cross over.

Not with Brady though, his game was made before XW, XW is created from Kronia's source.
Same with the first Magnus-Version PW, it may have been changed, but when it was "NeoRPG Alpha" or whatever, I was under the impression it was made from Magnus' game Crystalion.
