I don't know if it's possible but make it an option in some kinda config file whether to save the data to mysql or to save it locally on your hard-drive. This would be better for more basic people who can't afford webhosts just for the purpose of testing a game they are working on or hosting for fri...

I'm a programming failure but I say C# since it's multi platform and will never become outdated wheras in the future .net will probably become obsolete just like vb6 did. gives me an excuse to get off my ass and try learning too. Just to formalize things here: C# AND VB.Net are BOTH ".Net"...

It's about time Mirage was updated and made new. Looking forward to seeing the changes and the new sources. I agree and hope this will truly be Mirage Source's finest hour.

its not really a bug but more a suggestion, when you warp to other maps from a warp tile the the npcs on the previous map show on the new map for a second or so, same with your player, the position yo u were at on the previous map you are on i nthe new map then a second or so later it swaps. looks r...

DFA has no internetz where he's at that's why. He only posts when he's at the library using their computers see. I haven't checked the recurring connection code yet. I presume it's very simple to remove and is only a few lines anyway. [Edit] Was easy enough. Just like 3 or 4 lines in mod client tcp....

err by that I meant the coding. with Game Maker MANY people use pre-made engines which are open source and just make levels. I however started creating it myself NOT using other peoples code or anything. THUS meaning the games engine creation is 100% my own work. I guess I should have pointed that o...

:3 interesting. It's awesome so many amazing features are being added and your game is indeed very unique. I just wish it was more playable so like we could play it properly and make parties and just enjoy the social aspect :3 I loved playing your game when it had 4 maps so if it was playable then i...

"I said that you have nothing worthwhile." And you do? :o Agreed with Mith though  Like he said the game's perfectly playable and real good but rather than develop and get a game going the gui just keeps getting changed. What happened to that other GUI that was supposed to happen whi...

So I've finally decided to have a go at making a small game using Game Maker! I'm a total beginner however and I'm looking for some help. I have tried a few tutorials but most sites kinda suck. Can someone here add me to MSN or something and just help me out with a few things? I'm starting off by ma...

true. lol I agree about 800x600 that's just ridiculous for these days :P

Ah well. rather than working on the gui though why not make the game more playable with more maps, towns dungeons quests etc etc.

It looks real good although kinda big XD

As silly as it sounds you'd be surprised how many people still don't have resolutions over 1024x768

[sarcasm]He's an un-original little noob who fails at life.[/sarcasm]

Doesn't matter if he uses other game's gui's but makes them his own. I mean look how many of you use other games graphics right?

the problem i have is that any sprite which is over like 125 or so it shows the transparency color and the npc.

I tried my sprite sheet in every other engine/source and the problem doesn't occur. I'm not the only one who's had this bug either. Not sure what it could be really.

sorry dfa the problem still exists =( which is a huge shame 'cus ms4 is so close to perfection in terms of speed and optimization. It's real odd. MS3 and MS1 I don't get the problem yet MS4 does. Very strange indeed.

we dont need vista fixes, if you looked before, I was on about the upcoming windows 7 not using vb at all or supporting any part of it. im guessing it will eventually work though as said. there's always a way I suppose.

that's true... I guess when it gets released someone here will probably find a way to make it work, like with vista it's just a simple .dll register.

If that's the case then yay for Mirage!

is that direct draw problem the one I reported before? with the background colours on sprites appearing when it shouldn't? Also, just a thought that came into my head although this may seem off-topic.. Since the new OS doesn't support VB6 is there any point in making mirage games since users who upg...
