Mirage Source

I haven't seen anything about this on the forums yet, but I believe I have found a bug. When you have two people connected to a server, and the 2nd person either logs out or presses the close button, it leaves the sprite and block on the map. It doesn't show that the member has logged out until they either log back in, you leave the map, or you do a /who (which shows no one on). Can anyone confirm this?

Edit: A few more things about the bug I found. On login, it does something similar, it doesn't show the logged on character. Pretty much, the map is not updating for the other members when they leave or enter the server until they do something that updates the map (drop an item, pick up an item. Maybe cast a spell, unable to test that one because NPC's automatically update the map.) It doesn't seem like a big issue, but small things like this annoy me Also, it still happens if you have 2 clients open on the same computer.

Edit: Was messing around with the party system, so I found another place the map isn't updating. When you kill an NPC, you don't get the xp, it doesn't respawn, and the NPC's freeze. This only happens if you have more than one person on the map, and the NPC's only freeze for the attacker (doesn't need to be in a party or anything, just 2 players on the same map)

Ok, I finally had some time to test this. I downloaded a fresh MS3_79 from the website and I do not experience any of the map updating issues.

When I logged in with 2 clients, everything appeared fine. I logged one out, and the sprite disappeared without doing anything.

Can others confirm this is happening for them?

Ok, tried this on my 2nd computer, and everything worked out fine, so it may be a settings problem with my main computer. Not sure what sort of thing would cause it. I don't think its my OS, because it does the same thing in backwards compatibility. Doesn't matter to much though since I won't be running my server off of this computer anyways. Thanks.

In the future it;d be good to repeat and retest the bug to make sure it is not an isolated occurrence.

Well I did repeat it several different ways before I posted, and then in the original post I asked if anyone could confirm it. I was just trying to figure out if something was wrong with my specific computer, or if the version itself was bugged.

Its to do with the index of the player online I'll bet. This is an ancient bug, the fix will be in the old bug fixes somewhere I'm sure.
