Ok...I was able to compile it without any errors, but it's not working. I'm typing "/aida" and it doesn't do anything. It's not even getting rid of the text after I type it and press enter.

On the aida packet, try putting the exit sub, before the end if.

I still don't see what you are trying to set your HP value to?



There are only an Index and a Vital as Vitals in the function. Yours is looking to select something else as well. If you want to set your players hit points to whatever your max hit points are plus 5000 it should be like this.



Do you understand how that works? You cannot change the MaxHP value in a default MS because it is calculated from your players stats and it's classes stats.

That's exactly what I'm trying to do. I want to set the player's max HP + 5000. And I think I get how that works...So the code you just showed me, is correct? I'll have to try it later when I get back home from school.

You cant change the HP of a player beyond their Max HP. There's checks to prevent that.

Either need to make a special case to let you, or increase their Max HP (and keep track of the old HP so you can bring it back later?)

How could I increase their MaxHP then?

I think the calculation for Max HP is (STR + DEF) / 2

Do note that if you wish to make STR or DEF beyond 255, you'll have to change the variables to Integers instead of Bytes

So how would it be set up in the code? I'm still confused on that part...I understand why the below code works, but how would I set up the MaxHP with the STR and DEF / 2?

Go look at the function for GetPlayerMaxVital. It shows you how the MaxHP is calculated in the function. Sonire is just saying you need to take note of that because if you are going to change the players MaxHP to something else temporarily then you would have to change it back after wards, thus needing the calculation.

There are a couple ways you could do it. I think the easiest way (maybe not the best?) would just be to add a check in the function underneath Case HP.
