Well, I am developing a player housing system and was wondering, what would be better: One house for all of a player's characters or one house per character? The one house per player allows for all three characters to use it (design it and store things in chests) The one house per character is self-explanatory. |

It is my personal belief that the characters are distinct and seperate identities. It really depends if your game is going to be role-playing oriented. If it is, then they get separates. If it isn't, group them together. |

having a system that allows you to send items between characters is of immense help to people. circumventing role-playing to give your lower level characters from higher levels is a necessary evil in any mmorpg, and making a system that makes it easy only makes the players happy. Diabloo II did not have such a system, yet people still used "mules." Guild Wars on the other hand, as well as WoW, and most other recent MMO's have systems that allow trading between characters. |
