Ok I have now nearly finished my Gameloop code, and jumped the FPS a bit. FPS=303 from 90 this is with the same amount of players online, extra animations, and npc's on the map. 303 was the lowest I had aquired in a 10 minute test here's the image for proof

Give computer specs or your fps means nothing. If you have a really really crappy computer, then anything above 30 is good, if you have a newage computer with a super fast graphics card, then your going to have an extremely high fps.

well Lab the chat box says the FPS was 303. at least in the latest picture. and what the hell is wrong with the picture. it looks like my sister went thru it and picked random colors and then used the pencil tool in paint (oh god she sucks so bad with graphics that it is embarrassing)

He used a lossy format for saving the screenshot, that's all.

amd Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 4800+ on interegrated graphics card
2.50GHz, 896 mb of ram

and it ran 198 on my old AMD K62 single core 400+

Thats a pretty crap PC these days *no offence*, 303 is believable, I've had nearly 2k on my old machine on one of Robin's crazy fooking tests.

Well I test on the worst of my machines because when I got into internet gaming I was playing Diablo 2 and it didn't work to well on that amd K62 400+. So I remember that just because my better computer can run it fine doesn't mean that the ones who still have old computers will be able to.

But when you're optimizing, unlock it.

Because it gives them something to talk about in hopes to keep MS Forums alive and well, plus maybe there "thinking in the long run for anyone who would use it"

Why do you care that people optimize?

You should try to get your FPS as high as you can go. The better the FPS, the better your code. It's like saying you can work out really good and you can run the mile really fast, but hey if you go ahead and eat a Big Mac' and only run the mile a few seconds slower then why not? Seriously Labmonkey.

Hey guys, I am off from both jobs for the weekend and have been plowing in to DKE again, trying to fix some of the bugs caused by features installed in to the last version of the source, taking forever but hopfully I should have it up and running soon.
