Finally, the 1.4.0 release is ready.

Due to some problems with INET, I've yet to finish the autoupdater, but I want to get the client out anyway.

The 1.4.1 release will have the autoupdater and new GUI components.

Download Link!

Was caught in a burning house by the police whilst high on acid.

That's definitely a story I want to hear. Only a true champ trips on acid in a burning building. I now have a new life ambition, and I'm not even being sarcastic.

Started off with Konfuze Milestone, was re-programmed to run with MS4 standards, now runs on the Eclipse: Origins framework that I started developing.

What ever happened to the source that one guy was working on? The one nobody can trust or does shit very sloppy but is kinda good. I THINK it was the original guy Mith worked on GodBorn with.

Belier13.

He's given me a huge fucking headache, having to re-program all his old shit.

He has good ideas, but his programming is terrible. I think he's dead, or a crackwhore now.

Tomorrow, hopefully. Sebastian is back now, so we can put the site back up and set to work on updating the graphics and UI.

Yeah, that guy. Everyone said he had good ideas but his code was shit. Glad to see the game is comin' back online. I started playing it awhile back and then the server went down and I was left with nothing to do again. Lol.

Well, those of you who've been online know, I've been re-working a lot of the core systems to be more manageable.

Next on the agenda is re-programming the account system. At the moment, the entire UDT is just dumped into a binary file which makes adding new variables or removing existing variables much more complicated than it needs to be.

Instead, it'll save each variable manually. This'll make future features much easier to add in.

As well as this, the spells system will be re-programmed from scratch. The old system was written up several years ago by Belier13. Those of you who know of him will probably know that his programming is shit :P

Spells will simply be interfaced on the client, instead of packets being sent around confirming stuff.

Because of these updates, the server will be down for an hour later on today, or tomorrow. This gives us time to convert all the accounts to the new format without you losing any data which might have changed during the conversion.

Thanks,
Robin

We've had tons of new players joining and playing, as well as lots of old faces turning up again.

There's a real community feeling now which is fantastic.

Another active night on Silverdale, so we all got drunk and took a photo of ourselves.
