Post subject:  Unveiling of the Pencil Crayon
Well everyone,

I'm going to be working on a graphics set made from scanned pencil crayon drawings. I am no artist myself which is why I have others helping me out. I will be keeping all the screen shots for this project in this thread. Nothing here is final work and will hopefully be continuously updated and upgraded as we learn. We are not creating these graphics because they look the best, we just want to try something new and are hoping for the best.

Haha well I got those crayons from the Dollar store, they are all super bright and nyonish. I think from now on I will stick to Crayola.

Well remember I posted a Jpg, it was a quick drawing which left lots of white underneath, and my lack of photo editing skills before you start accusing people of buying a cheap scanner! :evil: :lol:

This would eb awesome if every map was completely hand drawn.

though the tile idea is pretty sweet to, the same result in less time, but I feel like whole maps would be higher quality

Will do, just not yet. But for now, here it a updated version of the first screen. Still have a lot of white from the paper showing through when I scan, by my hand hurts from coloring so hard to try and fill it all in. Turns out filling it in with paint is less painful.

Please, make the grass and the road darker. I can tolerate the trees now, but the rest is still too bright.

I like it.

Try drawing on a black piece of paper or something and convert to DX8 and use some alpha blending for some nice effects.

When you die you should make players like melt down like they're being washed away with water.
