Feature List:
  • Convert Any MS-Based Map Format to Another MS-Based Map Format
  • Offline Map Previews
  • Offline Map Editing (of Multiple Maps)
  • When changing map sizes, maps will be expanded or shrunk accordingly so you don't have to start over or spend countless hours matching everything up.

Currently in development.. I expect the first release to be ready in about a week or 2. :)

Really looking forward to this.. multiple maps? What would be good is if you could choose how many maps to edit at once.. and it squares them up like graph paper, fullscreen it with scrollbars you could edit your entire say 500x500 map world so easy xD

grid lines seperating them... ;O

Oh. Cool.

I haven't tried the map converter you sent me yet. I'm going to do it today. There was actually staff on the server developing, and I didn't wanna ruin a miracle. Lol.

I updated the screen-shot to show a better description of this project.

If your making it kinda seamless, remember to make a black square around each map. So you know when you map another map etc. So a house doesnt get between two maps etc.

Good point.

I intended on using a grid for the tiles, but I hadn't thought about the separation of maps. I will be sure to include a boundary line for maps, as well as tiles.. Of course, both of them will be optional. :) Thanks, William. :)

[edited] I thought this post was dumb myself.

It will be able to handle custom formats.. It has to, due to the number of different formats available..

I'm even toying with the idea of giving it the ability to login to a server and update the maps automatically, though that will likely require some server code changes..

Unfortunately, I won't be able to work on it for a while.. I left my laptop power supply in the hotel room in Baltimore, so I can't charge my laptop. As soon as I get it back, I'll be back on it.. (Should be here by Friday.. Already called the hotel, and they will be sending it on Saturday or Monday)

Haha. Good job Ver!

You're the last person I'd expect to leave something that important behind in another state. xD

I will not use it couse it's note shaped for my game but VERY nice stuff!

Post subject:  Re: Coming: Map Utility

Why would it not be shaped for your game? Are you not using MS?

[edit]
I shall be working on this a little, when I can.. Using my linux laptop to remote into my win2k server (which sits out in the garage) and I had enough juice to send the project to my win2k server.. so I'll do what I can. :)

He uses a C++ server.

He talked about it in "K2H In Another Language?"

Post subject:  Re: Coming: Map Utility

That doesn't really answer my first question, though..

Why would it not be compatible with your game's maps?
