What Are The Alternatives To Google?
Google is the most popular search engine for most Internet searches. Its market share is greater than 80% across many countries. But who is its biggest rival today? What other options are there to search the Internet to find information? We will outline the strengths as well as shortcomings of these search engines. Check this out for an example.

Microsoft's Bing Search Engine
Microsoft's Bing is perhaps the most widely-used alternative to Google. Both search engines look quite similar. Both search engines offer details about every result (a title as well as a description and a link to the actual result). Some searches also provide a panel with facts and information within the right navigation pane. Bing also has vertical search engines for specific kinds of content, such as images, videos, and news. These pages may appear in the main search results and on other pages. Google has been criticized for showing YouTube videos prominently when performing video searches. However, this has not been a problem for Bing. Bing, similar to Google is able to analyze user behaviour by keeping track of information related to searches and clicking on results. This allows Bing the capability to show personalized ads directly in its search results. Bing is also able to provide personalised advertisements within its Windows operating system.

Duckduckgo Search Engine
DuckDuckGo is a possible alternative to Google. DuckDuckGo will perform the search for you once you start a search. DuckDuckGo will then pull the results of Bing and display the results in your web browser. If you type in a search on this engine, you will not be in directly with Bing. Bing does not have access to any of your personal information like IP address or geographical place of residence. DuckDuckDuckGo also shows advertisements in its search results. The US search engine doesn't store any user data so it can't serve targeted ads. If you search the term "holidays" and the search engine will only return ads related to the keyword phrase or the keyword you typed. Since it doesn't have any information about you, it won't be able to use it. In our opinion, Bing as well as Google are very similar. It's up to you to choose which one is more attractive. DuckDuckGo is easy to use and is completely anonymous.
