I've been working on this for about a month now, and I've gotten some basic things hammered out. Networking is there, but it's not very efficient at this moment. So I've got a lot of work left with that. Sorry the post is so short, I'll get back to updating is ASAP, I really didn't know what else to put at this moment. I'll get a github link up shortly, I just need to push the updates from the past week. Regards, GP |

About time someone other than me started working on something. I'll be interested to see how you handle your server side networking :3 |

Here's the GitHub Respiratory: https://github.com/MMORPGCreation/CEngineSharp I'm having some trouble with the current networking setup, it seems that I overlooked the structure of the packet system when I didn't implement a sort of packet queuing, this causes some problems when I attempt to send a large about of data Example: SendAllPlayers(ID); and then attempt to send a packet right after SendID(ID, ID.ToString()); I'm going to work on fixing this in the near future, most likely this weekend. I apologize if my code is sloppy, inefficient, or just horrid. This is literally the first project I've ever done outside of VB6, and I've only been working with C# for about 2 months? On top of that I'm not that experienced even in VB6, which I have about 4 months experience with. Any recommendations, helpful hints, etc. would be very appreciated! Regards, GP |

Hmm well unfortunately I don't know anything about C# so I can't really help you but I'll be kicking around here if you need any code help, OO languages are all very similar and easy to cross-read |

I'm working on fixing packet queuing as we speak, right now I have the send queue done, but I'm still working on the problems with make sure my client socket is ready to get the data... I obviously need to work on my networking knowledge. Anywho, I'll have a update this weekend. Regards, GP |

It seems that a lot of developers are now switching to C#. I suppose I might have a look in to it. Good luck with the project. |
