Well, as you probably know, I've been helping out Sebastian and Dmitry with the game. I've had the source for a good week now, but due to real life I haven't been able to get a good look until this weekend.
I'm sure you all saw my post explaining what I wanted to achieve with the engine, and I've since added a couple of features which I'll show off as I get them done.
Here's the two features I've had finished, with some help from my mentor, and good friend, Jacob.
Inventory and Banks!
The new inventory is much cleaner than the older version. All currency items now show their value in the inventory, and the programming behind it, even though you might not care much, is much,
much cleaner!
Here's a small look at what it'll look like now!
Also, the banks are now fully functional. I made a small box to house it, but I'm sure Sebastian will supply us with a very nice interface for it!
Once you log in for the first time after the update, you'll receive a note!
Reading the note will give you a small in-character message regarding the location of the new bank.
Now, if you walk up to Lupin, and walk into the fantastic new bank's building, you can access a vault which can store up to 100 different types of item, and up to 32,000 of each non-stackable item, or a few billion if it's a currency.
A commonly requested feature, and one I've been wanted for a long time, is the ability to swap items between slots in the inventory (and in the new bank
)
This can now be done! Simply dragging the item around the inventory, and dropping it, will swap the two items between slots, or move a single item to a different slot.
Here's a few shots of it in action. I click the item:
Drag it over to a different part of the bank:
And let go!
This works in both the inventory and bank :]
I'll come back and post some more, when I get some new features done.
